WHY LOCAL JOURNALS ( KURDISTAN REGION -IRAQ) ARE PROBLEMS AND HOW THEY COULD BE RE-ORGANIZED
On Thursday, 11/11/2021, Kscien Organization held a meeting at the Komar University with the attendance of the representatives of several Kurdistan universities and many independent researchers. The aim of the meeting was to get participants’ opinions on the reform steps in the local journals, in which some important data about the major problems of these journals and an alternative project that has been prepared by Kscien Organization were discussed.
It is worth mentioning that in 2018, Kscien held two scientific workshops in two different centres in Erbil that highlighted the dangers of the local Journals. Although Kscien organization has informed the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in order to find a suitable solution for this issue, and on this manner Kscien itself prepared and presented a special project as a substitute.
The continuation of local Journals with all these corruptions in this field will make us start another wave of activities and distribute data about these journals, hoping to set a limit on these corruptions in this field.
