The 7th Excellent Paper Symposium Concludes with Success in Erbil
Erbil, November 17, 2024 – The Kscien Organization for Scientific Research successfully hosted the 7th Excellent Paper Symposium, an annual event that highlights outstanding achievements in scientific research. Organized in collaboration with Salahaddin University and Tishk International University, the symposium brought together researchers, academics, and institutions to celebrate excellence and foster collaboration in the scientific community.
The event featured two key parts, each contributing to the symposium’s success. The first part was dedicated to celebrating the top 10 research papers of 2023, selected using the Source Normalized Annual Paper Ranking (SNAPR) system. This rigorous evaluation method ensured recognition of the most impactful research across various fields. During the ceremony, the winners were honored with achievement awards, acknowledging their exceptional contributions. The event also celebrated the remarkable efforts of Iraq’s youngest researchers and highlighted the accomplishments of the most active female scientists, showcasing the breadth of talent and dedication within the region.
The second part of the symposium featured an insightful panel discussion chaired by Dr. Fahmi H. Kakamad. The panel included four distinguished presentations by leading experts in their fields:
- Prof. Dr. Abbas Salihi presented “Leveraging AI for Manuscript Writing: Best Practices and Innovations,” discussing how artificial intelligence is transforming academic writing.
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Halgurd Sarhang shared strategies in his presentation titled “Effective Strategies for Choosing a Research Topic,” offering practical advice for researchers.
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Rozhen Kamal explored the topic of “Fostering International Collaboration in Research: Opportunities and Challenges,” emphasizing the importance of global partnerships.
- Dr. Orhan Tug concluded with a presentation on “Common Reasons for Manuscript Rejection,” providing insights to help researchers improve their work for publication.
The 7th Excellent Paper Symposium not only celebrated the academic achievements of researchers but also provided a platform for meaningful discussions and the exchange of innovative ideas. With its focus on both recognition and knowledge sharing, the symposium once again demonstrated Kscien Organization’s commitment to advancing scientific research and fostering innovation across Iraq and beyond.
